Low Solvent, High Solids, Plural Component Paint Spraying with Multi-Gun capabilities
This is a mobile system for use with two component materials requiring application to large areas with a potential for continuous operation using long lines and Multi-Gun assemblies. Options for paint supply from 20 litres to 1,000 litre IBC bulk supply.
The system is simple to operate and simple to maintain. It is cart mounted on heavy duty pneumatic tyres complete with steering making it highly portable and durable enough for site use.
It has a serviceable static mixing blade made from stainless steel, and serviceable tungsten carbide seated check valves. We ensure long life by using nitride hardened and hard chromed wear parts, with all teflon packings for maximum chemical resistance.
This unit is particularly suited to use in shipyards or large construction sites, where up to 6 guns can be used simultaneously and intermittently.
Three 3kW High Pressure Fluid Heaters are provided to accurately maintain product temperature during spraying operations. Choice of various drum pre- heating options are also available.
The CoverCat 452 Spray System has been specifically designed as a high capacity metering pump for use with more than one gun simultaneously. Typical delivery rates of 15 litres/min at 20 cycles/min are achievable at a 2:1 mixing ratio. A selection of over 288 mixing ratios is available for use with all CoverCat systems.
The machine is fully portable, having all the necessary pumping, metering and mixing equipment mounted on the machine cart. The feed pumps are mounted such that they can be immersed into 20 litre pails, 200 litre drums, or a feed hose coupled to connect them to 1,000 litre IBC’s, as shown below.
The solvent flush pump is mounted on the machine, and remains primed at all times.
The metering is performed by the CoverCat 450 Metering Pump, shown above, which has proved its accuracy and durability in may applications throughout the industry.
The High Pressure Safety System includes Bursting Disc Assemblies. The Relief pressure is pre-set and removes the possibility of being set incorrectly. Resetting after activation takes a fraction of the time of mechanical relief valves.
The machine is mounted on a four wheel cart, with steering and a pull bar. This makes it easy to move around a site without the need for a forklift or crainage. A certified lifting lug can be installed if required. This unit is particularly suited to use in shipyards or large construction sites, where up to 6 guns can be used simultaneously & intermittently.
